120 Pupils from across the partnership attended the first ever primary leadership academy to be held at the Purbeck School. All of our primary feeder schools attended this event each bringing approx 10 pupils in either yr 4/5.
The layout of the day saw each pupil taking part in 4 workshops which were put together by Dan Moody and colleagues (School Games organisers), which ranged from planning activities through to undertaking games where students made the rules. The aim of the academy was to introduce pupils to leadership skills and show them how they could incorporate these newly learnt fundamentals and introduce them back into their own schools to help improve the activity levels at break times and in lessons.
Thank you to all the year 8’s that helped to lead certain workshops, and a big thank you to Dan and his team for giving the Purbeck primaries this opportunity. Hopefully we can deliver a similar workshop next year.
