Last week we held our first cross country event in a number of years for the primary schools aimed at years 4, 5 and 6. It was greatly received and was supported by 8 schools with over 120 pupils taking part, both boys and girls across years 4, 5 and 6.
All the pupils ran the same course which was approx 1 mile around the school cross country route. A fantastic achievement by anyone’s standards, particularly those of just 8 years old. It was a pleasure to see so many pupils running and so many parents supporting. To enable the event to happen over 15 Purbeck School students assisted me with the marshalling and recording of the event. As usual they were a credit to the school and it was fantastic to see some students involved for the first time in this role.
