On the 25th June The Purbeck School PE Department hosted a year 4 and 5 athletics competition for all partnership schools. It was excellent to see that all schools took part in this opportunity which involved over 140 pupils from these year groups. Parents were also welcomed to come and watch.
The competition consisted of all pupils taking part in 3 events, 1 track event, 1 field event with everyone involved in the relay. The atmosphere throughout the event was amazing with all pupils excited about taking part and competing against others. The final events of the relays were electric with lots of cheering and encouragement for all. An excellent evening.
However it would not have been possible to run the event without the help of our young leaders and ambassadors. As usual they were a credit to the school; they ran their events effortlessly and with enthusiasm.
Results were as follows:
Year 4 Placings |

An excellent event which thoroughly enjoyed by all, and I shall look forward to hosting this and many more events like it next year.
